Seniors Excursion to Glasnevin Cemetery

The 3rd Seniors Excursion of this year took them to Glasnevin Cemetery in Dublin, for a Walking Tour to see the graves of some of the most famous people in Irish history. The entertaining and hugely informative guide, Shane MacThomáis took the group for over an hour on a historical tour of the resting places of the likes of De Valera, Brendan Behan, Michael Collins, Roger Casement and others. A fantastic time was had by all and we finished off a beautiful Autumn day with lunch at the Goblet Inn on the Malahide Road. A huge thanks to all those who made the day a success and particularly those who made donatins at some of our fundraisers through the year, which help us to take local seniors on excursions such as these.

Above is a small selection of pictures from the day. You can see the full set and more at our dedicated Flickr page.
